Events Producer

Smooth Media is the talent management company for knowledge creators — the people teaching, explaining, and breaking down the world through smart, insightful content. We serve as a true strategic partner to our creators — an extension of their team that helps them run, grow, and professionalize their business.

A huge part of that is helping them bring their ideas and communities into the real world, and events are one of the most powerful ways to do it. Creators and events go together like peanut butter and jelly: knowledge creators bring smart, curious people together online every day online, and great IRL events take that connection even deeper.

As the Events Producer at Smooth, you’ll build and execute creator-driven events end-to-end. You’ll take high-potential concepts and turn them into polished, repeatable, memorable experiences. This role for someone who loves dreaming big, operating with precision, and running the full ecosystem of production, partners, vendors, and logistics.

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end production — take events from concept to execution to onsite experience

  • Collaborate with creators to develop formats and bring their ideas to life as polished, repeatable event IP

  • Lead programming, run-of-show, venue selection, guest experience, and overall production quality

  • Manage external partners, vendors, freelancers, and production teams to deliver high-caliber events

  • Work closely with Brand Partnerships on sponsorships, integrations, and creator-led activations

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years in events, experiential, live production, or a related field

  • A strong track record producing professional, creative, or community-driven events

  • You’re great with people — you can work directly with creators, talent teams, vendors, and brand partners

  • You’re organized and get things done -you keep timelines tight, details accounted for, and moving pieces under control

  • You love the creative side, too — while you’ll never be doing this alone, understanding what makes event programming and all the little details stand out and how to make it happen is key

  • You know how to manage partners — with vendors, freelancers, production crews, you can delegate, review work, give direction, and keep standards high.

  • Based in NYC or open to being in NYC (our team is in-office Mon–Thurs)

What we can offer:

  • Competitive compensation

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Unlimited PTO (mandatory 10 days per year minimum)
